Meet is partnered with a global, industry-leading Medical Communications group on their search for a sharp and enthusiastic Medical Affairs focused Account Director to join their talented team. This agency is widely recognized for their creative approach to Medical Communications, employee centric culture and diverse offerings!

 

As Account Director, you will serve as a versatile client service expert with extensive experience in Medical Communications. You will be responsible for managing large accounts, handling diverse deliverables, and offering strategic guidance across client, project, financial, and scientific aspects. With broad expertise, the AD ensures the highest quality for their clients and becomes a trusted day-to-day partner.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Builds a strong, trusted relationship with the client, becoming their primary day-to-day contact and ensuring ongoing client satisfaction.
  • Drives client strategy, oversees projects, and provides strategic guidance to the team, ensuring successful execution and proactively addressing any emerging business or project issues.
  • Effectively manages projects and assigns tasks to the team, leading by example and maintaining a hands-on approach to support and guide the team.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of internal processes, workflows, and resource allocation, with clarity on the required level for completing each task.
  • Oversees financial planning, revenue forecasting, WIP reporting, and ensures timely invoicing.
  • Partners with senior management to ensure sufficient resourcing across dedicated accounts.
  • Drives organic growth within accounts, identifies opportunities across the team with senior support, and assists senior members with new pitches, including attending face-to-face presentations as needed.
  • Provides constructive, actionable feedback to direct reports and offers regular guidance throughout projects to ensure continuous development and high-quality work.
  • Mentors junior and mid-level team members, adopting a coaching approach to foster growth, instill best practices, and oversee their activities to maintain quality standards.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience working within the Medical Communications space, experience in Medical Affairs required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Oncology therapeutic experience is ideal, but not required.
  • Extensive experience in client-facing roles, leading and executing projects within a fast-paced agency environment, managing multiple small accounts with competing priorities.
  • Proven expertise across diverse therapy areas and project deliverables, with strong project management skills and confidence in handling account financials, including budgets and forecasting.
