Job Description:
- Design, develop and reviews a variety of deliverables, including but not limited to: publications, abstracts, manuscripts, posters, white papers, slide decks, video scripts, website copy, congress materials, sales training materials, and GAP analyses
- Ensure all deliverables are scientifically accurate, fully referenced, appropriate to the target audience, and consistently meet the highest quality standards
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge across assigned therapy areas whilst keeping up-to-date on industry trends and scientific developments
- Leads and drives the delivery of larger medical conference and meeting events, including symposia, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and communication and publication workshops, etc.
- Leads client meetings when appropriate, updating both the team and client on key scientific actions
- Builds strong client relationships - Starts to help shape client strategy, recommending new projects or advising when taking a different approach may better meet client objectives
- Manages direct reports effectively by providing constructive and actionable feedback, ultimately nurturing their professional growth
Skills Required:
- A higher education degree - PhD, MD, PharmD - required
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working within Medical Communications
- Excellent scientific and editorial competency
- Experience working within the Rare Disease, Cardiology, Neurology and or Endocrinology spaces
- Strong relationship building and strengthening skills, with both clients and HCPs
- Ability to critically review deliverables for scientific accuracy and integrity
- Experience of coaching and mentoring junior level writers
