Meet are excited to be partnered with one of our top, long standing clients on a new publications focused, Scientific Director opportunity.

Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Scientific Director to lead a high-profile, long-established global account in the Oncology and Cardiovascular (CV) therapy areas. This role offers the chance to drive new business opportunities and strategy while managing a dynamic team. You will play a key part in maintaining strong client relationships with a US-based client, while taking ownership of a large, impactful account.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic direction and operational management of the 100% publications account in oncology and cardiovascular therapy areas.
  • Drive new business opportunities by identifying growth areas within the account.
  • Manage a team of Senior Medical Writers (SMWs) and Medical Writers (MWs), providing leadership, guidance, and support.
  • Motivate the team to deliver high-quality work while maintaining a positive and collaborative environment.
  • Oversee the operational side of the account, ensuring projects are efficiently managed and resources are optimally utilized, including coordinating freelancers.
  • Provide strategic and scientific oversight on content development, ensuring all materials are in line with client expectations and scientific accuracy.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the client, offering strategic recommendations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality publications.
 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 6 years of experience in a similar role with a strong background in scientific content development and management.
  • Proven track record in operational and organizational skills, with the ability to manage resources and freelancers effectively.
  • Experience managing and leading teams, with a focus on motivation, mentorship, and development.
  • A strong scientific background, preferably with experience in oncology and cardiovascular therapeutic areas.
  • Comfort with reviewing content and providing strategic guidance, with experience working as a writer in the past.
  • Highly organized and process-driven, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategy and new business opportunities within a client account.
