A leading London-based medical communications agency is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager (SAM) to join their growing Creative Marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a strong background in healthcare communications to play a key role in building and shaping a fast-growing creative offering within the agency.

The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to clients, offering trusted counsel, driving operational delivery, and supporting a range of impactful healthcare communications programmes. They will work closely with senior leadership while also mentoring junior team members, contributing to both client success and team development.

This agency takes a values-led approach to marketing—one that prioritises meaningful client relationships, strategic thinking, and creative innovation. The Creative Marketing team is relatively new, offering a rare opportunity to help define its direction and work across disciplines within the wider business. Candidates who are excited by the idea of shaping a practice and contributing beyond traditional account work will thrive in this role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and embed creativity and innovation across all client deliverables

  • Demonstrate expertise in core marketing tactics and creative, strategic, and digital processes

  • Understand when and how to engage different creative specialists in both tactical and conceptual projects

  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships across client services and creative teams

  • Draft clear, strategic briefs for creative and tactical work

  • Manage budgets effectively and proactively monitor scope and profitability

  • Critically assess client needs, offering value-added insight and alternative perspectives

  • Maintain strong, responsive client relationships, resolving queries and concerns in a timely manner

  • Anticipate project needs, plan ahead, and mitigate potential risks

  • Translate brand strategies into effective tactical execution

  • Mentor junior colleagues and ensure work meets high quality standards


Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be:

  • An established Senior Account Manager, or an experienced Account Manager (with a minimum of six months at AM level) ready to step up

  • Experienced within a healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising/communications agency

  • Passionate about creative marketing and open to building a new practice within a collaborative, forward-thinking team

  • Comfortable working on global or European accounts and across departments

  • A strategic thinker with strong client-facing skills and operational know-how

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a healthcare agency setting is required.
